Keystage 1 (KS1) Teacher

We have a vacancy at a school in the town of Hitchin, starting in September 2024. The school are a fairly small primary school for the area, being only one-form entry. The school’s current Year 1 teacher is going to be taking a more active role as a member of SLT and will therefore be out of class, on a part-time basis from September. 

The exisiting staff member will continue to work as a class teacher on Mondays and Tuesdays, so the school is looking for somebody who can take on a 0.6 contract. PPA time will be allotted on a Wednesday afternoon and this will be shared with the other Year 2 class Teachers. Unfortunately, the Wednesday-Friday aspect of the job share is not negotiable so any candidate would need to ensue they are available on these days.
