Keystage 1 (KS1) Teacher

We have a client school, based in a village just outside of Bedfordshire, who are seeking to appoint a Year 2 teacher on a part-time basis, from September 2024. The school is fairly large for the area, having recently expanded into two-form entry. They are looking for the candidate who could do the following:

• Work on a part-time basis, 2.5 days per week with a friendly year 1 class.
• Be willing to undertake planning, preparation and all other responsibilities that comes with being a class teacher.
• Be motivated and engaging as a practitioner, inspiring pupils to learn.

The days are currently worked at Monday and Tuesdays all day, with an afternoon on a Wednesday allowed for PPA time, which the school feel is very generous. This is what the current teacher’s timetable looks like however, that is not to say it couldn’t be worked a different way, if the ideal candidate could not accommodate this.

The school, having recently been expanded, boasts new facilities and brand new classrooms to work in. They also have a great support network made up on SLT, parents and governors.
