Keystage 1 (KS1) Teacher

Our fantastic client school, based in the outskirts of Houghton Regis are looking to employ a KS1 Teacher on a part-time basis from September 2024. This will be on a temporary basis, to provide the school’s current Deputy Headteacher with some release time.

The school are ideally looking for somebody to work on a 0.6 contract and the days for this can be flexible. They may also be able to accommodate a 0.5 contract, should an outstanding candidate require this.

The school need somebody experienced for this role as currently, they cannot accommodate a Newly Qualified Teacher. They are happy to accept candidates to be on either the main pay scale, or the upper pay scale. Anybody who would be on the upper pay scale, may be expected to take some responsibility for a subject, but this is subject to the candidate’s skillsets.

Currently, the school are rated requires improvement by Ofsted but, they are well on the way to becoming a good school once more. Of course, the school do have an extremely supportive network of parents and governors who are helping with this process 100%.

Initially, this is a temporary position but after the two terms, there may be the capacity to take a candidate on as a full-time class teacher so anybody looking to apply should take note of this.
